I'm Austin, the founder of Burkhart Carpentry. I grew up in my grandfather’s shop learning the trade firsthand from a master.
Now I design and build beautiful, custom projects for clients across North Atlanta.
Burkhart Carpentry is a small team of dedicated craftsmen working on projects like built-in bookcases, custom closets, pantry shelving, crown moulding, trim, shiplap and more.
Here's the truth, you can get the same project done many ways, and on many budgets. There are a lot of options out there!

Custom Design
Design is all about details. It’s putting yourself in someone else’s shoes. It’s an obsession with making the inside beautiful too. It requires care and craftsmanship.
There's a big difference between a wire-shelf pantry where nothing really fits and custom shelving where cereal boxes, cutting boards and kid's snacks all have a home.
At Burkhart Carpentry, every project gets a custom design that fits your space and your needs. While we will recommend standard layouts, countertop heights, cabinet depths, etc. based on our experience, we won’t force you to choose a design you don’t love because “that’s the only size it comes in”.
Plus, you’ll see a 3D rendering of your project in exact detail before you commit to the final design!
Friendly Process
From the moment we start working together to the finished product, we work hard to make the process as friendly as possible for you. You won’t find any “gotcha” deadlines or sales tricks. We help guide you through decisions by presenting the options clearly, and giving expert recommendations and advice.
During the install, our conscientious crew will respect your home like it’s our own. You can expect constant updates and clear communication. We’ll let you know an exact arrival time via text message, and never show up unannounced. We know working with people you like and trust can make or break the project, you’re in good hands at Burkhart Carpentry.

I’m still obsessed with Disney World and Legos. I’m a certified spreadsheet nerd. I’m not a picky eater and I’m not afraid to try new things.
I enjoy building something for the first time, working with my hands, and finding creative solutions to challenges.
